Announcing the 2019 Student Short FIlm Showcase films in competition.

See the films and cast your vote for the Audience Favorite Awards at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Mandeville Trailhead Depot, 675 Lafitte St.

$5 admission.

 

HIGH SCHOOL

 

I by Director Ava Hellstern,  1:58 

An exploration of the negative effect the structure of high school can have on students and the creativity that is taken away from them when they are forced into a "one size fits all" type of learning environment.

 

TWO GENTLE PEOPLE by Director Ruby Kline, 13:07 

Two strangers enjoy a summer’s afternoon in the park. Inspired by Graham Greene’s short story “Two Gentle People,” the film touches on themes of time, age and love.
